Hungarian medals/tokens Ag 925 [solved]

3 posts • viewed 91 times
Hi everybody,

i recently bought a collection of silver coins and found 2 hungarian medals in it. Weight is around 22,6 gr, diameter is 3,83 cm. Silver Tests are positive, so i consider them to be Sterlingsilver 925.

The lettering is "to honour the hungarian revolution in october 1956".

Now here comes my question : Is there a market or any collectors value for those medals or can i melt them without feeling guilty? (what i have in mind at the moment)

Thanks in advance !
In memory to the 2 500 death and 13 000 wounded of the 1956 uprising, I wouldn't melt them 8.

Hello!

it’s wort about double or more than the melt value. (At least what I saw in hungarian auctions)
