Hello everyone
Sorry for my poor english

I am looking for information on this currency It seems to be a trial or pattern of bunkyu eiho Hartill 5.34 What do you think about ?
made between 1863 and 1864 but never put into general circulation

non magnetic
10.46 gr
33/34 mm

Thank you for your answer
Have a nice day
Because it isn’t a regular coin, I really can't say for sure but when I look at the Hartill catalog the characters are too thick and I don't know why it should have been found in mud.
What's the provenance of this object where did you get it? Hartill says it's extremely rare so the chance that you stumble over it in some backwater bazaar is basically zero.
i have see the same thing the characters seems to be too thick
i bought it on ebay from a Japanese seller
https://www.ebay.fr/usr/yua_410?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754
I have three more coins from this seller but don't know yet what they are

all are non magnetic
The fact that the seller has very few sells and than has item that go for many hundreds of dollars and all in private listings is not a good sign for me. In the descriptions is written that they are from a second hand source.
I can't proof tings but I would stay away.
Do you know the other coin
and what do you think about?
1 - ???
2 - reads Sei Ko Tsu Ho - similar to Dahid Hartill Japan# 6.22 and David Hartill China# 25.59 but doesn't look like the catalog images
3 - reads Hako Date Tsu Ho - similar the DHJ# 6.6 - but they are small low quality iron coins and nothing that looks like yours
Thanks
i have search and find the same reference
all are fakes i will send back his coins``-``-
The seller of my lot seems honest he refund me by really apologizing because he knows nothing and do not even ask me to return the currencies
