Chinese chop mark identification on worn coin

Hi I am trying to identify this coin for a collector friend the coin is totally worn with chop marks and the same stamp each side which seems to be a face or devil/Imp type character I was thinking it may be a local tradesman stamp for it be known to be owned by that person and not be easily sold if stolen but that is just my guess any help would be really appreciated Also to mention the coin is almost totally worn however i can make out R.F faintly around perimeter i was thinking maybe french sol?
I know someone has made a catalog of chopmarks/counterstamps , but I can not find it...

Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
Hi Me Neither
I always love a good research on an unknown coin but with this one being so worn i keep coming back to the same articles that only gloss over chop marks a full catalog would be a step closer hopefully to identifying it
best wishes
John
