Hello.
Let me be a bore. The tag issue was disappointing to me.
We get them in small portions, and can’t predict when we get new tags and if we get the requested tags? Why such an attitude? After all, many different tags from different users were immediately requested. And some are still in the "waiting list" ... Now imagine a member who checked hundreds and thousands of pages, added the existing tags, but could not add the missing tags at that time. Now should he do the same job? Then they will give us a couple more new tags, and the job should be done a third time? I doubt his desire to do it again. Well, for me it already definitely decided.
Can there be River added to these existing four tags ...
[Landscape] Desert
[Landscape] Lake
[Landscape] Mountain
[Landscape] Sea
and ideally one other, just called Landscape
It has been pointed out for the tag Scale >
'The correct form in English is 'scales', the term scale is North American and should be changed'.
So because of just one letter, a referee has rejected six of my requests.
Yet at the same time as doing those, I changed other countries and other referees accepted.

II. Apparatus for weighing.
2. The pan, or each of the pans, of a balance. Also figurative...
3a. plural (†In 16th cent. rarely construed as singular). A weighing instrument... 3b. an attribute of Justice.
As far as I can see, both "scale" and "scales" are appropriate in British English, albeit with slightly different meanings. "Scale" is more generic and actually more appropriate for coins depicting Justice and for those depicting a balance with a single scale: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces35747.html
I am also not sure how strict we are with British English, given that "soccer" is a tag.
I think we should stick to scale, I don't think the referee should reject the tags.
Quote: "brismike"We should have Football with sub tags of
Soccer
Rugby Union
Rugby League
Australian Rules
Gaelic
American
Touch
Futsal
Absolutely not! First of all you have to be a specialist to know all those differences and secondly, the end result will be worse: people who don't know the difference will just fill in the most well-known tag (in this case Soccer, so nothing changes) or they don't give any tag anymore because they don't know what to choose. And if we divide Football, we of course also have to divide Ski in Slalom, Giant Slalom, Downhill, Biathlon, Ski jumping, ... And of course we're going to need a tag for every animal and insect. At the end we'll have to scroll through a list of 100,000 tags, which nobody will do and that will be the end of the whole tag story.
Quote: "brismike"Well all we have at the moment is Soccer and Rugby.
I think as a compromise we should scrap Soccer and just have Football and Rugby.
Soccer and Rugby is more than enough. Of course Football would be much better as umbrella term than Soccer but we already have 2,055 coins tagged as "Soccer". Is there an easy way to change that in "Football"? I assume a robot could do that but I'm not sure?
Should the tags under 'Games' really be referred to as games, they do feature games in the respective names, but they are a collection of sporting events. 'Sporting Competitions' would probably be a more suitable title. And even if the first part of this comment isn't adopted, could we still add another tag for other general sporting competitions? Like the Pacific Games or Special Olympics.
