I was at a coin dealer yesterday buying a few coins. I asked the owner if he had any Arabic or Middle East silver coins. He handed me this. Said it was in an estate lot he had purchased. He was trying to identify it when I came in. I thanked him for showing to me and made my purchase. As I was leaving he said “you get a free coin with every purchase today” and handed it to me. I have no idea what it is, or if it’s even a coin, it could be a medal. It is definitely silver.
Bad news, it's practically not worth much, good news - it's indeed silver-cored, but not entirely silver. It's a combination of metals I think. zinc, copper, silver.
I hope this helps clarify things.
Kind regards,
Stef
