Dear Specialists and friends,

Please help me (if you can) about these two coins, one is a fractured one but very clear and the other not so much. Thank you very much in advance!!

Indeed tough ones without a single readable letter. But I got 2 guesses based on the stuff we can see:
First coin I would say is something close to this from Emperor Severus Alexander:

Second coin something like this from Valerian I but I cant see anything of the typical radiate crown an Antoninianus should have but maybe its just one of the worn parts:

Thanks a lot my friend, yeah.. they were found with a bunch of islamic coins (mostly ottoman) and a few greek ones in a wooden old box in a house I managed to clean up. You are right about the suggestions. Do you know the exact coins here in numista or should I put new entries ? I'm not a roman coins specialist unfortunately.

Kind regards,

Stef

oh, I totally forgot, the fractured one is 2g that means that probably is 4 if it was whole. The other is 2 g

You could put up entries but I dont think pictures of those coins would be used for them. I couldnt find them on numista yet.
An full identification is possibly not possible anymore so you should just create entries for the 2 coins in the links of my older post if you want to.
well noted, thanks, will do today ! and thanks again for your help, I'll put the pics from wildwinds

Hi,

I think the second one is Trajan Decius. Reverse ends with .... S AVG. Probably VBERITAS AVG like this :

Well noted !

God bless,
