Will anyone update theirs? If do so, how will you deal with the old ones?
I have the second edition 1700 -1800 and that is fine
I have the 1800- 1900 as a pdf and it is fine
the 2008 1900- 2000 and i do not see any reason to update , the prices are not spot on for most of the world coins.
and i have the 2008 2000 -2008 it is indeed a bit outdated and i should consider a newer one ( i prefer pdf )
when i buy i would normally buy a used one from a coin dealer partly they do write notes in them and i like that and partly they are about 25 % of new price.
As the Topic is 'Everyone got a "Standard Catalog of World Coins"??' ...
I got one DVD a week or so ago and it has ten catalogues on it. I puchased it for my Numista team duties, and used it last night for a Topic that had an Ottoman Empire coin on. Will get round to looking at all 10 parts on the disc eventually. Here is the disc, plus the folder that opens when disc is played ...
Off eBay for £1.24 and free postage. I can lend it to you, as you are in UK - maybe create a swap and then I send coins and disc first, then later on you can send your coins and return disc. Just a thought!
P.S. I now see that in the folder are 12 catalogues, as the disc has two 'Coin collecting for dummies' first and second editions as well.
That's a great idea, I'd really like that. I can't get over the deal you got on that disk though - there's hundreds of pounds worth of catalogues there! Please feel free to browse my swap list and send me a PM or a swap offer. Got to go to work now
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

I have the following:
Standard Catalog of World Coins 1501-1600
Standard Catalog of World Coins 1601-1700
Standard Catalog of World Coins 1701-1800
Standard Catalog of World Coins 1801-1900
Standard Catalog of World Coins 1901-2000
Standard Catalog of World Coins 2001-Present
I purchased all these about 4 years ago. I update the Standard Catalog of World Coins 2001-Present every second year, but I have not had any reason to update the earlier years. I will probably update the earlier years every 10 years.
