Hi

It has probably happened and is still happening to all of us, that some swaps just last forever, there is no answer from other side.

Does anyone find it useful to get some kind of a remark, in case the user on the other side has changed "active" open swap to hidden ("Hide in swap monitor" tool)? Currently you do not know what is happening with such long open swaps, maybe the other user just hid it, so that my actions do not disturb him (but he did not want to cancel or "forgot" to do it).

PS: I know, some will tell, just cancel the swap after no reply for 30 days or similar. I am just being sentimental over opened swaps with high hopes till the "bitter end"...
I like the idea.

As a possible solution which worked a couple of times: for such swaps I offered a quick deal option - just checked the coins from both side and said that this was the last offer, so take it or cancel the swap..

I feel that long swaps never seen to work. Either the swappers have coins they each want or they do not. Swap then modified to make it equal then post.
I have my own rules which means, if I have not heard from a potential exchange partner in 7 days, exchange is cancelled.
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
