Hattons of London Commemorative gold coins. [solved]

8 posts
Hello all,

I'm very new to this having purchased two 1/4 sovereign commemorative coins from Hattons of London.

Since then I've just been collecting the proof UK decimal coins and now that I've become addicted started to look at pre - 1919 silver coins.

I've no idea where my collecting will take me but I can't seem to find my Hattons 1/4 sovereigns in the database to add them to my collection.

Are they not considered collectable, am I using the wrong search terms?

They are both from this year and are The Moon Landing and Heroes of Gold Beach.

I look forward to your insults.

Ian
It is a possibility that the coins have not yet been added to the catalogue
Hello Ian, there is every chance that they have not yet been added if they are 2019 dated.

Can you please either post images of both sides of your coins or share a link to the listings on the Hattons site.

I can't find any of the Hattons coins from later years either!
Hello Ian, I have had a look at the catalogue page for Eastern Caribbean States and it would appear that your coins have not yet been added. If you go to the bottom of this or any catalogue page, you will see the link A coin doesn't exist in the catalog yet? Add it yourself! where you can add the coin yourself and one of the catalogue referees will review your submission and either publish or request modifications. Since you are new to the site, I would also recommend reading the Guidelines for Editing the Catalogue which will guide you through the process and provide useful hints and tips for a sucessful catalogue contribution. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies.

I've had a look at the guidelines for adding coins and it would take a bit too much time and effort for me to do it justice.

I'm just going to add two quarter sovereigns to my collection and write notes for myself.

Cheers
Ian
