Hello,

I have this coin in a year variant which is not listed so I cannot add my coin.

The following year and variant exists, 2 of which are not listed in Krause.
Also the coins with F mark are not struck as Proofs but as BU strike so probably best to remove from title ("Proof Issue") and add next to year lines as comment.

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces38498.html

Current line 1979 without mintmark is actually with F mark.

1979 D Proof (With edge inscription)
Mintage of 5,000

1979 D Proof (Without edge inscription)
Mintage of 30,000

1979 E Proof (With edge inscription)
Mintage of 5,000

1979 F BU (With edge inscription)
Mintage of 10,000

1979 F BU (Without edge inscription)
Mintage of 70,000

Can someone please add the info marked in Bold lettering, as that is missing for the moment.

Thank you,

Paul

Thank you Paul. If you would create the changes it would of course be quicker. As a ref you must know this. Otherwise when I have time I will be sure to make the updates you demand. I am interested that you have a coin with proof markings that you say isnt proof. Do you have a coa? I always enjoy these undiscovered pieces.

I provided you in my previous message with a link which shows all the information given by the mint.
I would love to make the change requests but its not possible as the coins year list is ticked as complete and cannot be modified before unticking by the countries referee or a catalogue moderator.

Goodnight and best regards,

Paul

I'm at home now. My only concern is listing mintage limits. Pobjoy never releases actual mintages, and we dont list mintage limits elsewhere. Thoughts?

Agree, mintages like this are often only rough estimates or planned total production but sometimes these are not 100% correct, at least the silver version 1979 F withouth edge marking, Krause lists the same mintage of 70,000

If the only numbers you have are maximum mintages (i.e., the actual mintage is completely unknown), I would think it is fine to list those as the mintage, as long as there is some sort of comment that states the number is only a maximum amount.
