I made this video to help members to crop coins in circular format to help improve the Coin Catalogue.
I use Gimp 2 which is a free downloadable image editing software program which you can get here.
https://www.gimp.org/
Here is the video with all the steps to crop a square image into a round one.

Hi Mike,
do you mind if I add this link to the Numisdoc about pictures?
I included
a section here on how to prepare images with GIMP and guess this would perfectly fit there.

Hm, I think a video with a direct screen cap would be better (better resolution, lighting etc.).
Also a possible second cropping of an iregular formed coin would be nice.
P.S. nice blast from the past (trailing mouse cursor
)

No worries please add it Pejounet.
I will have a go at doing it with a direct screen capture as suggested by idolenz. The one I did was just my wife holding a phone.
I love trailing mouse curors lol. Can always see where they have been haha..
cheers Mike

I have updated the video with a much better one. The YouTube link has been updated.
This time I used a Video Capture Program to directly capture the Screen while using Gimp 2 to Crop a square image into a round one.
Feel free to use it as you see fit Pejounet.
