Help with identifying ancient Roman Coin

4 posts
Hello Forum. I have been trying to identify coin without any luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It has a cast look to it. I wonder if that bite out of the edge is where a casting sprue was attached and then broken off. You might want to see if there is a raised line on the edge around the coin, where 2 mold halves might have been joined. A genuine coin would have been struck.
Hi, Thank you for your reply. I did investigate the edge, however I do not see a line, whereby it would be cast. I have seen silver coins that are cast, similar to making jewelry, this my assumption is that it is genuine.

It looks like a replica, made for tourists at historic places
