So I bought a coin from the UK and it started shipping on the 9th, however since then the tracking has shown nothing.
I just want to know if this is normal so close to the holidays as I'm worrying up a storm. The coin wasn't cheap and I'd much rather have it than any compensation they could give me if it was lost/stolen.
I did read that the 11th is the busiest day of the year.
I have found, in the past, that the system when clicking onto the link, created by the sender in their message, does not seem to work very well, and I have had similar messages.
I have then go onto the Royal Mail website and clicked onto their 'track and trace' link. Entered the tracking number and generally, it tells me what has happened.
Remember, this only works for the tracking. If the package was sent 'signed for' only, the number does not seem to work.
I cannot send packages to every country by track and trace, so have to wait until recipient has received it.
Have some faith in mankind.
I have waited 6 days for a first class letter posted less than 100 miles away within the UK.
Also waited nearly 4 weeks for a package from outside of Europe.
Remember sending a package to Italy, but it went via Indonesia, but it did get to recipient. No idea how that mistake was made.
About 4 years ago, I exchanged some stamps with somebody in Belgium.
The exchange took a long time , my package took three week to arrive from Belgium as it went to Sri Lanka first.
International tracked and signed is separated from the normal international mail and is in theory a lot more secure. Royal Mail aren't perfect but they're the best out there.
