The best photos?

I'm thinking about getting a micro camera to put some pictures on here. Where would I find one, and does anyone have any suggestions on a brand or options I should look for? Or should I stick with a scanner, when I can?
Scanners are the best option - unless you are imaging proofs or highly reflective coins. Also my scanner (printer scanner all in one HP) seems to turn brass colored coins into a dark brown.
I prefer using camera with a tripod. From my experience using cameras is faster. But you have to use Photoshop, or Gimp to edit the picture.

If you choose to use a camera, I would recomend any reliable (Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sony, etc) point-and-shoot with Macro function.
To do my pictures for my website (link on my profile) I use to two cybershot sony 14.1 megapixel cameras and use led lighting to soften the picture but keep the quality very high.
