I have added Georgian official 1993 set as separate sheet in Georgian section.
The reason is that people should know exactly which sets are official, and which ones are commercial.
I think this sheet doesnot disturb someone, and also, I hope it would be good practice to addin g official mintsets, and other official sets, as separate listings. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces137924.html
thanks
David
I do have to say I like this idea, but...
- How will we list all the metals?
- How will we list all the diameters and thicknesses?
- How will we list all the coin designs?
- How will we list the denomination (if any is required)?

My suggestion:
Each coin in the set has it's normal Numista page.
On the set page, each coin should have a link to it's separate coin page ...
? Format Format Format ? ?
Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...

Agree!
I think that's how the NZ sets were done (it they're still here).
It would be interesting to add sets, but then a separate kind of page has to be implemented in the catalogue so as not to mess up the coin-counts. Plus, then we might be able to remove all those annoying lines "Only in Sets" on the coinpages ...

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Hi,
sorry to bring the bad news but page has been removed from the catalogue (as New Zealand were).
Sets are not eligible to have separate pages on Numista.

which I reckon is wrong. Sets should be allowed, since it's a numismatic product an many collectors collects them.

Sorry to all the members who have put in effort in creating these sets...
I agree that sets should be indicated in some way on Numista, whether it's a "In proof set only" comment on a date line or something entirely different, but until there's some kind of new page format for these sets I'm opposed to allowing them in the catalogue.... just look at the awkward empty spaces for Weight, Diameter, Thickness, Material, Denomination, among others.
I urge Numista to get on with creating that new format, because at the moment trying to use a coin page for a set is like fitting a round peg into a square hole.

Some incredibly intelligent member did this already with the New Zealand sets.
We spent hours of work listing all the official sets, then the management decided to remove them all because there was going to be an official way of listing them coming soon. Well it's been over 6 months and still nothing coming. This is what happens when the Management do what they want rather than honouring what the members want. I see the "rule with an iron fist" mentality has not eased in the months I was gone.
Perhaps some kind of format where the referee could add already existing coin pages into a special "set" page which members could log number of sets into their collection just like any other coin page, and it would add the amount of coins in the set into their coin count, also visible as 1 of each type included in the set when viewing their collections, would work?
