Congo Democratic Republic, 10 Francs 1965, variety

Variety RC/1a (RC/1 stands for Republiek Congo, coin # 1 in the Morin catalogue):

Difference between RC/1 and RC/1a (RC/1 is upper picture, RC/1a is lower picture):

- Big opening in "A" (easiest way to determine the difference) for RC/1
- Leg of "X" from under left till top right is thin for RC/1
- Shape of "P" is different, hence the big distance between "P" and "A" for RC/1 (the blue arrows are identical)

Although the catalogue only mentions a difference in the word "PAIX", there is also a difference in "JUSTICE" (RC/1 is upper picture, RC/1a is lower picture):

- Thick "C" with oval inner space for RC/1 (easiest way to determine the difference)
- The bottom of the "U" is more angular for RC/1, rounder for RC/1a
- The shape of the "S" is more angular for RC/1 and the distance between "U" and "S" is much bigger
