I recently got a 1915 50 para and while trying to identify the variant I had came across this thread:

It seems like Numista's listing has some of the same errors that Krause made. Could we get it fixed?

I see this still has not been fixed in the catalog. To re-iterate, .50, 1 and 2 dinara were only issued in 3 subtypes:

1904-1912 (medal alignment), including 1904 proof - this is km24.1/25.1/26.1

The 1915 issue, struck in Paris, has 2 variants, both /w coin alignment, both with Paris Mint and privy marks
- w/ designer name - highest mintage of all years, easiest to find
example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Serbia-silver-coin-Kingdom-50-Para-1915/131784239179

- w/o designer name - harder to find
2 examples:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rarre-coin-50-para-1915-Serbia-silver-coin-NO-SIGNATURE-/131787543030
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Serbia-Peter-I-Silver-1915-50-Para-NGC-UNC-DET-NO-SCHWARTZ-1-YEAR-KM-24-4/302552649094

These do not exist:
- 1915 medal alignment (km24.2/25.2/26.2)
- 1915 coin alignment w/ designer name w/o privy marks

Hello Houseofham,

Thank you for pointing the problem in the catalogue. After my holiday, I will work out the years and ref numbers and do a little research on it. I have this page bookmarked to remind me.

Best regards

How is your research going?

Hello HoH,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Recently I got the latest Krause catalogue (the 2018 Standard Catalog of World Coins, 1901-2000, 45th Edition). I'll have a look at it once again, and try to brainstorm this out.

Done :wiz:

Hmm... Everything still looks the same. What changed? Or do changes not show up right away?

Of course I made changes! You may need to clear the cache.

Edit: I'll have to pass to main admins to remove some years, as I cannot do that as a catalogue referee

Oh, I think I know what you did - updated variant info in the comments section, but kept all the year lines as before.

You did not read my whole message lol.

I don't think the Edit was there when I read it. In any case, thank you (and the main admins) for taking care of that.

Edit: Oh, one more question. How are you planning to deal with mintage numbers for 1915? Move the numbers from medal alignment to coin alignment or just leave the latter blank?

I would leave it blank. What do you suggest?

I'm inclined to believe that Krause had only messed up variants, but the mintage info is basically correct. Other catalogs that I've looked at give the same numbers. For example, on ucoin.net's catalog, they have:

50 para:
24.3: 12,137,928
24.4: 1,862,071

1 Dinar:
25.3: 10,688,711
25.4: 2,312,304

2 Dinara:
26.3: 4,174,142
26.4: 825,858

So, I would suggest going with that.
