I bought this silver 2 stuiver West Frisia coin. If I'm correct, the 8 is minted over a 7. So the correct year would be 1768/7. This year isn't existing in the catalog at this moment.
Is it possible to add this coin?

@Essor prof: Thank you for looking in to the Krause catalog. Hopefully someone has a Specific Dutch catalog with this strike in it.

Ah nice to see another one. I only payed around 5/6 Euro for the coin, which is pretty normal for a common 2 Stuiver coin. It could be worth more looking at the price on ebay.

I just got his reaction. The coin is known in the catalogues van de Nederlandse Munten (CNM) (Dutch Coin Catalogue).
This specific overstrike is more rare then others, but is does exist.
Is this enough information to get it added?

That was a quick reaction. But I know they are very friendly and helpful people.
Pictures of two different coins and a mentioning in the Dutch Coin Catalog. That must be sufficient.
I think the quickest way is to write a message to the referee with a link to this forum topic because the year lines are locked so you can't make a change request on your own.
Yes it was! Thank you for your reaction. I will sent a message to the referee.
I also added two Dutch Republic Coins to the catalogue today.
-1 Duit 1617 Deventer (DAVEN/TRIA)
-1 Duit 1644 Kampen (CAM/PEN)
Hopefully they will get an oke soon and be visuele for others too.

Thank you Jokinen! I also read your article for the Dutch Republic, very nice. I am currently focussing on the Republic and the Netherlands as my home country. The period is very hard to identify. There were many city's who had the right to mint there own coins. Some of those, were Habsburg during the Republic period and conquered during it.
I live in Deventer, a city who have minted there own coins. Deventer was connected with the Habsburg empire during the Republic period. Some coins are minted on the name of the German emperor. You could discuss if the coin should be added to the Spanish (Habsburg) Netherlands or the Dutch Republic.
Its a very interesting period in Europe.
Thank you for adding this specific year. I will set this topic as solved.

Those Deventer coins were in name of Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II. The King of Spain at that time was Philip III, son of Philip II. Philip II was a cousin of Ferdinand II.
Yes, and also in name of Mattias I as emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. It was a mistake to say German emperor.
