1 cent 1983 Canada - Far and near beads identification

3 posts
I know that we have the two varieties of 1 cent 1983 Canada (near and far beads varieties) but would like to know what is the real difference (for instance in millimeters from rim) in order to properly identify them.
Thanks
Hello,

This link provides photos of the two varieties...disregard the picture of the 1968 cent, everything below it refers to the 1983 varieties.

Thanks David, I have seen this page before but there is no reference to quantify the distance (mm) between the beads and the rim, this is what I was looking for. So far form the samples I have I believe that in the near beads the distance between the beads and the rim is approximately 0,5 mm and in the far beads approximately 1,0 mm but I was looking for a more precise reference.
