I don't know if it's a scarce variant but I think you can find better ones for this kind of price. Both are heavily worn, have surface hairline scratches and have been cleaned.

For coin collecting patience is key:`

One tip is don`t limit yourself only to Ebay India, better when you search for something you click on Worldwide.
Yes Shipping costs will be higher but still you will find better things at potentially lower price.

Not a full Rupee but this coin seems much more interesting to me even with higher shipping costs. http://www.ebay.de/itm/HHC-BRITISH-INDIA-Victoria-1-4-Rupee-1840-BU-Unc-BV-100-SKU-O1-62-/222414309498?hash=item33c8ed087a:g:bjwAAOSwWxNYqO5v Of course bidding could still go a lot higher but you never know on Ebay :)

If you buy several coins from one seller, you could also save on shipping charges and just pay them once. ex. here with several nice British Indian coins all from the same seller http://www.ebay.de/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=ufomechanix&LH_Auction=1&_armrs=1&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xindia+british.TRS0&_nkw=india+british&_sacat=0

How does the coin looks and shall i buy it
Also tell if its genuine or fake :)

It should be always your decision which coin to buy :)

The coin you linked has also been heavily cleaned which causes this porous appearance on the coin. Probably something with high acidity has been used.

All those things you will learn with time and you will become more experienced :`

Happy collecting to you,

Paul

But it's genuine right?

No one here wants to be the person that causes you to buy a fake. Please go to this thread about counterfeiting in China and check it out the production of fakes. Authenticating from a picture is very risky and if you have any doubts about a coin you should just move on to the next coin.
