How do I read/copy a trashed (deleted?) topic?

A topic I've posted in recently (mods: you probably know which one) had apparently been sent to Trash (which I didn't even know was a thing), presumably due to a heated discussion.
My post was one of the first in the topic, before any of said heated discussion (if it ever existed) had happened, and in any case was made in good faith. It was also the last post to said topic for a while, and the next time I checked the topic was deleted with nearly 20 more posts (and I sadly slept through all of that, so I had no idea what those posts might have been).

How could I see the topic, to figure out what the triangular heck happened? It's still in my "topics I posted in" list, but a click on it only shows me the main forum page, and the post I made there is not in my forum posts list.
If that's impossible, could I have a copy of my post? I expect that another version of the same topic will eventually appear when/if things calm down (on Numista, at least), and if so the post would likely still be quite appropriate (as, I repeat, it was made in good faith back when the thread didn't actually have anything inappropriate in it).
