Or disaster, if you are a curator in British Museum and one of your valuable objects just lost pretty enough of its value...

I was just about to say that Jarcek.
There was one guy a year or two ago who found a big hoard of several thousand medieval European silver coins. I remember thinking that the collectors who paid a premium for the coins when they were still rare must be cursing their bad luck.

I actually don't think that finding one of only two coins would make the price drop that much as in the case where thousands would make it drop.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

She's a remarkably honest lady. I really hope she is going to get more than a certificate in return.

Will they be able to keep the coin, or will the government take possession of it?

Quote: "Roublizer" Will they be able to keep the coin, or will the government take possession of it?most countrys take this opportunity to keep the coin, l imagine Israel would be the same. You would think they would at least pay some kind of reward.

I don't know about you guys but if I ever find a gold coin in the grass it's going home with me and that's where it will stay.
