Egypt 1 Pound Coins

I am told that Tutankamun's death mask is the most widely recognized man made object in the world. Quite right too, it's beautiful. This has to be the best looking coin struck in recent years. Anyone disagree?

Yes, it's a bonny looking coin right enough. I'll have to dig mine out again to re-appreciate it. Funny though,  it's a coin that's only brought to life when it's nice and shiny. I suppose that's true of a lot of coins..but especially true of this coin.
