Looks like Victoria ate too many beans over Christmas ;)
Can anybody please explain "the rice puller joke" to me? I keep seeing it over and over on forum but don't know the origins.
It's a litmus test to help identify Indian scammers. "CHANGE OF NAME PENDING" for example had a few, or so he claimed, which underlined the already clear notion that he was a crook.

A rice puller is supposedly a small metal object, typically old and usually a coin, which has magic properties. The magic properties are restricted to attracting rice, or in the case of rice repellers..... repelling it. They are sold by sketchy people via sketchy websites, often for ridiculous amounts and even have forums and fan sites. Quite what the use of such a thing might be I have no idea.

Apart from proving the P.T. Barnum rule, I reckon it's all pretty harmless and no more irrational than some of the beliefs shared in the first world nations.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
