sure after you read my comment you make a edit "but can be fake" lol...
this coin is so real like your knowledge....
so stop comment stuff of which you have no idea....
Thanks for your answers.

Then: I suppose these other coins are fake too:

Anyway, which are the original coins they are trying to fake ???

Besides, how can I identify all of them as fakes ? What are the main differences between the original and the fake coins?

Best regards,

Aberrea
I don't know a lot about these types of coins. Only there are a lot of fakes. So I stay away from them. But from what I have learned on the forum, the cash coins with dots are fake. The ones with the square holes. And check dates in catalog. And weights and dia. Good luck and happy coins collecting

It is, what it is, or is it.
The Chinese try to fake many things but not in the case of those cash coins with those dots they are meant to be lucky charms and maybe souvenirs. Not to decive collectors like the uncountable other coins that are produced behind the great wall.

Hi,

Probably you may heard of a Chinese "thing" called Fengshui (風水), Chinese people believed that different decorations putting in a specific direction of a place could bring them lucky effects such as love, career, study, etc.

that's why these "souvenir coins" were made. Indeed, they are most probably made for Fengshui (for enhancement of wealth, or even repelling evils). Of course, these are also selling as a souvenir gifts (as an Eastern countries' spectacular gift) to foreigners.

I suggest if you guys want to collect authentic old circulating Chinese coins, consult an experienced Chinese coin collector. If possible, buy catalogs (Mostly available in China but available in Chinese language only) and do researches.

By the way, these cast coins are not always have the same/exact diameter and weight as well. So these measures are not good enough to determine the authenticity of the coin.
