Asian token/coin for identification [solved]

5 posts

I think this is an Indian temple token and appears to have punch marks, including a 6 or 9 on right image. Appears to be silver.

25.37 mm diameter
2.4 mm thick
11.08 g

I'm still trying to figure out why my scanner keeps cutting off edges of images. I am using an automatic mode as that seems to give the best results but it doesn't seem to matter where I place the coin on the glass, edges get cut off.

Thanks for any info on this coin/token.

Thank you, Sujit! That was the last silver coin needing to be identified from my recent bulk lot purchase.

Nice coin!!!
The punch marks are made by bankers to show that they accept the coin as legal.
A nice quest is to find out which bankers they belong to

Thanks, Petrus! I thought someone here would know if the punch marks were anything special. I appreciate your commenting.
