It would appear that this coin was not struck in 1969, as discussed here:

https://en.numista.com/forum/topic41628.html

Would someone please make the necessary modification to the catalogue.

It would appear that Numista does not have a referee for Ireland - would one of the other catalogue admin be able to look into this request please?

And while you are at it, leave a note about it.  Otherwise, years from now, some user is going to say we should add the 1969 "because it's in Krause".
Hello,
I've just removed year 1969 and added a note. Thanks for your investigation!
Many thanks for your support Xavier, it is much appreciated  :)

I know this is an old discussion, but…

If you search the Numista catalog by typing in “Ireland” for “issuer” and “1969” for “search query"

2 shillings/1 florin

1951-1968

comes up as one option.

I was looking for the 1969 10 p coin (KM# 23) which also comes up, but I was surprised to see the KM# 15a coin also came up.

If you go to that webpage for the KM#15a coin, the “Years” line under “Features” reads “1951-1968”, and there is no 1969 date in the values table.

There is even a comment in the “comments” section that indicates the 1969 date does not exist for this coin.

There are a couple of discussions that present very convincing evidence in support of  the position that the 1969 date does not exist.

Based upon the above, this particular coin should not come up as an option if someone searches “Ireland” and “1969”, right?

Why does the catalog search function still bring up the KM#15a coin for the year 1969?

1968 was the last year for the 2 Shillings.

In 1969, it was the 5 & 10 Pence of the decimal currency that was first struck.

Aidan.

The problem is your search, not the coin page. Searching “1969” in the “search query” will also return coins with “1969” in the comment section.  Use either the Year or the Gregorian date filter instead.
