Can anyone give a catalogue reference number or provide more info for the following coin before I place it on Numista.com?

thanks - Roy

Metal: copper
Weight: 2.02g
Size: 11.11x10.97mm
Thickness: 2.43mm
½ Tetradrachm (Kota Kula) (360-460)

It's an AE unit of the Kidarite principality of Kota Kula in Punjab (c. 360-460 AD).
Please find below my attribution for my coin.  I'll verify your coin in ACR and MACW tonight when I get home, but I think it is the same coin  :) .  BTW, it is NOT a tetradrachm as we don't know what it was called.  The academic term is "Unit", "1/2 Unit", etc...

Kidarite Principality of the Kota Kula in the Punjab: Anonymous (ca. 360-460 CE) AE Unit (ACR-1282var; MACW-3683)

Obv: Brahmi legend kota with a crescent on each side, dots above the left crescent, dotted border around
Rev: Frontal facing Shiva standing in front of bull with is standing to the left; dotted border around

Non est totum quod splendet ut aurum
Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
That works too   :)
It's ACR-1284, with dots above crescent on left and right...
Thanks for all the info. There are some Tetradrachm (Kota Kula) on the database. So should I enter it as 1/2 Unit or 1/2 Tetradrachm?

Pieper and Mitchiner both do not list a 1/2 Unit for this series, but your weight is 1/2 the weight of their coins.  Furthermore, they both indicate that it is a "Unit" as opposed to a "Tetradrachm".  As I indicated, we don't know what these coins were called and hence it is incorrect to label these in a unit that it doesn't represent.  Somewhat like calling a Pound a Dollar and vice versa.

There seems to be a proliferation of that term EVERYWHERE and it is incorrect...
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and opinion. I will list it as 1/2 unit and see what the referee for ancient Indian coins has to say.
