We all know the online auction sites. But how about some good online shop sites so you don't have to contend with others in an auction.
Here's mine, colonial collectables. He specialises in British colonies, but has a good range of others. Some of them are a bit pricey, but some of them are a decent value. He's based in NZ so prices are in $NZ which at the moment is worth UK 50p, US 80c or Euro 60c
I pretty much never buy coin from online shops, but my favorite would be this one http://www.ma-shops.com

Just checked that website, looks pretty decent. I also noticed you can change the currency from NZD to AUD, USD or GBP, so you don't have to convert all the prices by hand (unless your currency isn't mentioned off course).

Yep, unfortunately he's sold my coin. He had an uncirculated gothic halfcrown with beautiful toning I was going to buy when I made my fortune...But I'm currently buying up a lot of his lower value stock.
also Germany. very nice price . Mostly specialized on 20th-21 cntr. coins. too large list of world coins.thousands of them
BUT: list update just twice per year... and also seller use German catlogue ( I compared with aschon, and there are different numbers, so its neither KM nor Schon.. )
I am not sure I am helpful, as I only buy mostly from Hungarian sites, but there you go:
www.numismatics.hu - Medieval Hungarian/ Habsburg /Great for ancients as well
www.pannoniaterra.hu - Medieval Hungarian/Transsylvanian Hungarian/Habsburg coinage on the higher end (i.e. some items over USD 10,000 !!!)
www.fodoraukcio.hu - A German/Hungarian site, good for German States, Germany, Austria, Habsburgs... and a lot of "cheap" stuff
www.procopius.hu - mostly ancient Rome, plus Central European stuff
I also buy stuff directly from mints, like Kremnica, Budapest, Utrecht, Vienna, Istanbul, but I am not sure some people would be happy if I would share them ...
Quote: HippaforalkusImreh, Dutch mint is far too expensive haha. 20,- euro for a coin that I bought for 7,-, same coincard and quality.
Nei, nei... it is the other one ... YOU know, which only delivers to NL, and only in Dutch, and as my son is studying in Scheveningen... you know .... herdinkshdivingensmyntensk one

Netherlands.
World coins for low value
hej, that's my dealer too, going to a coinfair to buy some coins from him next week. need to bring you something?
Several years ago I bought from Willem 3 times, - total price about E.300. But on 4th time ( I remember clearly - it was 89euros) the letter with coin s disappeared. he said " sorry, dear - I sent the letter. Im in numismatic deals sinc XXXX- year, so everyone knows about my honesty.." What could I do? - I just said OK... that was my last deal at Willemsmunten.
But he always seemed a good dealer, and coins always were well packed, and communication also was perfect.
stolen or lost letters... - its a part of game, unfortunately... It was in far 2006 or 2007...
wish you all success and lucky in our same hobby !
very nice shop, also Netherlands. excellent and wide choice of world coins, including a lot of 19th century.
Prices are high on many pieces ( as almost everywhere in Eurozone ) , but anyway, if you miss something special, you an find there.

very honest seller, Hans.
Yes, I'm familiar with that seller. He also sells self adhesive flips which I purchased a couple of times. But at some point I stopped purchasing my flips from him, becausehe refused to sell me flips, because the number I asked for was 'too low' and it would take 'too much time' to prepare the flips for shipping... I don't now how you guys feel about this but I take this as an offend and I refuse to have contact with him ever since. And yes, Dato is right about his prices, they really are way too high.
Apart from that, the first two purchases I made by him were ok, so he's a reliable seller.

I used to buy from www.rondomons.nl while I lived in the Netherlands. I lived 20 minutes from him, so I used to go to his house and pickup my purchase. He is very friendly and reliable. He offered me some coffee once and we sat talking about coins for over an hour.
His prices for flips and 5x4 pages are very good and there is not much profit in it for him, so I would not be too hard on him for not wanting to do a sale that was not profitable for him.
I also bought some coins from him once. It were coins I was struggling to get, so I was happy to pay a little more, but the coins were in very good condition.
agree with both of you, guys.
When I bought several times from same seller, and on forth time he says that " its need too much time and I willnot spent my time just for few euros" - of course, its bit offensive.
And, again, sometimes he sells coins which you look for several years... and, of course, I agree too, - he is very honest seller.
Brink Laubscher, his shop located in South Africa, CT. very kind and honest seller. He can think and discuss withyou discounts, he frequently sells lots where you can find something special ( year or mint) , and also add nice coins for swap. Usually he also add very nice extras, - it could be SA coins, or cheap coins from Southern Rhodesia, or RThodesia, or something else, but anyway - you will be pleasantly surprised. Also, you can ask him to search coins which you need.
he is my good friend and numismatic partner. I used to buy coins there frequently, and his role in finishing my SOuth African and Southern Rhodesian KM# collection can not be overemphasized .
Bob Reis, - he has plenty of world coins lists, including very nice special coins from South America`s 19th century. Prices are mostly very acceptable. He update his lists average per 2-2,5 month
hi,
topic` author says that " We all know the online auction sites. But how about some good online shop sites so you don't have to contend with others in an auction. "
I guess, delcampe , ebay, mashops, vcoins andso on were mentioned under it.
So, we just introduce each other with personal coinstores and webshops which are not promoted but still very interesting and popular.
thanks
David
