Heya all,

I collect coins, well have recently started and have a few now, tho this coin, not my oldest but I'm in love with simply because it is so vibrant, literally bright copper red.
Now it's like 240-odd years old and all the ones I can find are dull brown, but this is so red, doesn't look brand new and can tell thru inspection it's old, you can see the sort of grime that's built up, plus the copper looks.
I'm curious to know if it's fake because it's too red for its age, that's the only thing that concerns me. I have checked everywhere and tonnes of images, everything is in the right place, the writing, face, the letters, even the '777' the middle 7 is slightly elevated, exactly how every other pic I've seen is.
It's the brightness that is bugging me.
I've uploaded some pics and tbh even they don't do it justice, but the best I could do on this camera. The coin itself looks very old, by looking at the slightly worn letters and the surface, almost it's been eaten away by some microscopic bacteria (if that makes sense).
Again, I've checked numerous others and everything is perfect, it's just the brightness, it is like a bright copper red.
I just wondered if it is fake. I just wanted some opinions on the colour.
Thank you very much in advance, all thebest. :)

Also, if it is genuine, which I think it is, would that colour really make it special?

Here's the back
I think it probably was cleaned at some time, and that causes the reddish look. Coin looks very okay to me.
World coins by date and mint place, 1850-2000
Thank you for ur quick response, good to know that it probably isn't fake, again just the colour confused me as it looks too good, thought that cleaning always messed them up - so the person obv did a good job.
Lovely condition coin eh, not bad for 6 euros :D lol

Thanks again :)
