The Austrian throne was never completely destroyed and as such the current head of Habsburg-Lorraine should have the throne (he is already titled as Archduke).
As for Germany, just because the emperor abdicated DOES NOT MEAN there isn't a throne!
The Prince of Prussia deserves that throne.
You do know that Germany was Deutsche Democratic Republic (East Germany) and Deutsche Federal Republic (West Germany) before it was reunited into modern Germany. Republic means no monarch. You can't just turn around and say "Hey, I want to be king, sorry Merkel, you're out"

There are still many princes and princesses in Germany but they are not how you expect them to be - they now resemble more of a Charlie Sheen (in two and a half men) and many struggle with near bankruptcy. In fact I know one of the Hohenzollern princes.
