Some of the coins listed as Azorean coinage are actually Portuguese coinage. The fact is that after 1931 the Azorean coinage was extinct by the legal decree "Decreto-Lei n.º 19869, 2 de Junho de 1931". It would be nice to see this corrected.
Although there are still quite a few coins that bear the word "Açores" in them they are coins issued by the Portuguese State are legal tender or commemorative issues of the Portuguese Replublic (not exclusive of the province of Azores).
