I have bought two ten francs coins recently, because of suspicious seller behavior, I decided to measure them.
I haven't done this before and was suprised that measurements was similar but nevertheless not exact.
10 Francs 1929: weights 9,95 grams (accuracy of weights I used, is 0,05 grams), diam: 27,93; 27,91; 27,89; 27,87 mm; thickness: measured from edge 1,99 - 2,03 and over the middle 1,98 mm.( measured with digital caliper, justified with guages).
10 Francs 1930: weights 9,90 grams (accuracy of weights I used, is 0,05 grams), diam: 28,06 - 27,99 mm; thickness: measured from edge 1,88 - 1,90 and over the middle 1,95 mm. (measured with digital caliper, justified with guages).
Are these irregularitys normal?
