Question about law

Hello everybody !
I've a work about parricide to do for my university,
and I was asking what's the sanction for a parricide in your country ?
(do you know the legal rule about it ?)

I had to google parricide (Killing of a parent or other near relative). I am not a law expert, but I would expect it to be treated as murder, depending on age of the perpetrater, and whether it could be argued to have been in self defense.

In Sweden it is since 1921 no different than any other murder. It was removed from the law text at the same time as capital punishment was abolished.

Before that it was considered to be a worse type of murder than other murders, which meant the type of execution was worse. For example, the murderer could have his/her limbs crushed with a wheel, be burnt alive or have the head and right hand put up on a pole. This was called qualified (sharpened) capital punishment.

Other forms of qualified capital punishments was to have the tongue cut off, burning with hot irons (both before execution), to have the heart ripped out or to be pulled between four horses.
