No, it was split up! Into 4 zones before becoming the federal republic.

Oh i am quite sure it's German Reich as this coin says Deutsches Reich in 1948

Pretty weird that in 1948 there was 3 types of coins, communist, post-nazi type, and allied type. Even though the west and east germany wasn't even formed.
