In the middle ages metal workers were named after the color of metal. A blacksmith is an iron worker that made tools and things that would not be "cleaned up", a white smith was like a blacksmith but made forks, candle holders and other stuff for the rich - he would file all the black scale off to reveal the silver color of iron underneath, of course there were silver smiths and gold smiths obvious names, and finally copper smiths, known in the middle ages as Redsmiths. I love copper and I work with it as a hobby, my art company is called redsmithstudios.
My name is David R Walker - I love copper coins, silver coins, brass coins, and nickle alloy coins.
I love history around the colonial American era that's why I look for pre-1783 coins.
I also practice copper forming techniques and tool making from that time period. I do period demonstrations, and when I go to re-enactments and schools I like to show the kids my pre 1783 coins!
What does your username mean?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
muralis means in Latin "of walls", I do not know why I picked this name. in some other forums I am using different usernames like: muramuse, muramuzz, royalnumis, latnumis, wamsall, etc. it is more or less some kind random, combined and unreal names.

And is your Avatar because you're a "pot head"?"
ha ha, no.. it is game of words and one of my hobby is illustration.
probably you know sentence: "My name is Bond, James Bond"
I found funny to use the same idea for name "jackpot", as you know the real meaning of jackpot is main prize in gambling, I divided that name in two words Jack Pot and made character wearing silly suit. "my name is Pot, Jack Pot".
I am making small funny 2D animation about Jack Pot, but it is just another my hobby, so I am not sure when I will finish it.
Well, when it comes down to zany names, I've been wanting to change SmartOneKg for a long time.
I got the idea back when I was about 12 years old and when I thought Runescape was cool. So I came up with the name SmartOneKg and I ended up using it for all my accounts, including Numista, until a year or two ago. It's an arrogant username, and I'm rooting to get rid of it.

I know that name from Runescape!
It's me, Bullseyedust/Greatwhite!

Theirs nothing wrong in being arrogant as long as your right!
On the serious side, when I first joined Numista you had a realy young photo but came across as being very mature so I asumed it was an adault with a persona of a clever child.

Well, my username is Lotus07. It has nothing to do with the flower (as most people might think), but with my favorite car brand: Lotus.
I just love the cars they make and they're so iconic for Britain! ;)
The '07' stands for one of the cars they make; the Lotus Super Seven, an iconic racing car in British motoring history. The Lotus supsev is so iconic that many other (inclucing some Dutch) car brands copy the design for their own cars!

I had no idea you were into Lotus cars. Being a Brit I have always loved them too. Your personal site needs updating so that it will be the world's only site dedicated to Ostriches, Coins and Lotuses.

Exactly, glad you said that about my site, it really needs some attention.

Koin72 My age when I inherited my brothers collection and started out on my own collecting. It has been
very rewarding and enlightening, I just need to learn a few more computer skills and some picture taking
to catch with more of the collectors.
Always remember, No matter where you go, there you are.
Well, my username? My first truely old coin was a 1895 Victoria Penny 1mm. The Britannia on the reverse inspired me to create this profile. I spelled Britannia wrong, and when I found out, I just kept it.
