Swaps wirh Brazil

I am sorry to say this as Brazil is a beautiful country.

BUT

Be careful in yours swaps there.

Michjack and I (Szmata) made recently a swap with someone in Salvador de Bahia.

Our coins arrived safely (registered letter with AR)

But Michjack and i received from him (also registered letter with AR) the same enveloppe  opened with a knife and of course empty.

I made some inquiries ans until now we suppose that our correspondent is a honest person.

Unless you had the same problem....

Anyway, sorry, but be careful

Unfortunately this is a problem the world over. Post gets lost and stolen here in the UK also. Okay, 99.9% of it gets through, and almost all postmen and women are honest, decent and hard working, but like all industries here, temporary staff do get recruited for short periods and they are not always as concientious or honest as we should like them to be.

The best advice seems to be to disguise the contents of your package. The British post office actively tells customers NOT to post cash, it's just too much of a temptation.
