This was found in my back yard

Hello - I am from India and a small town from outskirts of Mumbai ( Bombay). I found this in my back yard and don't have any idea what this is; can somebody explain? It is made of copper and about 2 inches top to bottom and about 1 inch sideways.

Looks like some sort of communion medal to me, did you dig it up ?

Thanks, at least I got some clue, but the page says that the metal is gold, while as the medal with me is made of copper. :(  But neither can I upload nor can I register my findings on to the website.

No I did not dug up - this was found somewhere in 1985 by me in my backyard while playing. I am not a Christian , but I kept in my coin box and did not have a clue as to what is it.

Gold or not gold, it looks very well preserved for a 125 year-old pendant.
