For me it's Egypt and Thailand, because I can't read the writing or the numbers and they have so many coins that all look very similar
Israel...they couldn't found any numbers more complicated than that. :8D
Ethiopia
China / Japan etc
Thailand
Israel
United Arab Emirates / Bahrain etc
Afghanistan / Iran
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
Any coins with stylized Arabic script and no Latin characters.
Catalogue referee for British, English and Scottish coins.

Le référent pour des pièces britannique, anglais et écossais.
U.S Tokens (For fear of them not being in the catalog), China-Japanese Puppet States (I currently have only one but it took a while to identify).

I would have said Egypt as their commemoratives are hard to identify, but I've found that as long as I know the date I can pretty easily find them.

Also, any coin with little to no easily identifiable features. (eg. Asian aluminum coin with wreath)
Yeah, I've come across a few Australian merchant tokens, but I don't have a good enough copy or enough information to add them to the catalogue.

The latest one was an 1858 peace and prosperity token from Victoria

 too true!
I can read Hebrew, so for me it's the Asian (especially Thai) and Arabic stuff, maybe even some of the sketchy '-stans' in central Asia.

Anything from the Middle East or Asia. I have a terrible time of those!

However spelling is (from my phone that is!).

I don't mind getting coins from hard to identify countries, except all those crazy Aiso-European "stans", as already pointed out. Plus coins from Thailand and Nepal.
Spain.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot Spain with those crazily small numbers on the tiny stars that reveal the real mintage date.  UGH!!  :x

Thanks for reminding us, Phil. I'm sure we all feel the same.

Hey me too; I'm 66 years old, far-sighted, and my only problem with Spanish coins is remembering where I put my loupe today!  LOL
Thanks to Numista tools we can understand any calendar dates and search legends though we cannot understand them.

The hard part is when we cannot see what is engraved. Most Spanish pesetas until 1982 have the date of issue with a height of 0.2-0.3 mm (the average size of sand), often with weak coinage. Imposible to see without a magnifying glass and good light. Bad for presbyopia.
