Probably real. Check the composition. I had the same problem as you.

not real as in it really was not made in 1780 but it is a restrike of the design that got altered over the years they restruck them

I see. I did the magnet and ice test. There's no magnetism, and the ice melted quickly. So I assume it's a re-wrought with real silver.

Yes these were red truck with the same amount of 83.3% silver
