Unknown Roman Coin #26 [solved]

Hello all,

I have a coin that is from the Roman Empire, believed to be under the reign of Trajan but I cannot seem to place when this coin is from as well as the denomination.

Here are the specs:

  • Around 26 mm in diameter
  • 3 mm in thickness
  • Copper Bronze
  • Small lettering on the obverse around the rim with some parts legible but not enough to go on
  • Reverse provides a bit better detail as there is the famous phrase “SPQR” and an image in center

Hope to hear what this is!

Hi, yes it's Trajan

Obverse : IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P

Reverse : S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI S C

Reference : RIC II 486
