Okay. They misinterpreted the seal type used on the Philippine coins for the New Generation Currency Series, a current Philippine coin series that have been issued since 2017 for ₱5 coin, since 2018 for the rest of denominations except ₱20, and ₱20 since 2019. But let me educate you numismatists about the context of the seal type of the coins used in the current series.

Here are the differences between the seal types 1 and 2 in the context of the current Philippine coin series.

Seal type 1: 2010 BSP logo

Although this seal have been used on banknotes between 2010 and 2022, and commemorative coins between 2011 and 2022; this seal had been only used for general circulation coins between 2017 and 2022.

Seal type 2: 2021 BSP logo

Announced in late-2020 and unveiled in 2021, this logo was not used in any coins and banknotes for the country until 2022.

Now you know the differences. Salamat po.
