1€ Germany A 2002 - whats this ?

Hi,

Euros are not my expertise, do have some tho.

Coin: 1€ Germany 2002 (A)
weight: 7.50g
- Not polished --- dents, used, details of a proof coin still there
- I really doubt someone could fake this

Filtered photos, except for one

4 high-grade eagles (top right one has a great finish @7.55g

Comparison coins : 20Francs (FDC) , 5p (FDC), golden 1pound coin (proof)

Question is. Did I just come across a circulated FDC 1€ coin? sounds ridiculous

Appreciate any insight in advance, have never seen an euro coin like this before

Regards

PS: forgot about the stars on the map, that indicate a 'proof' coin, as they are slightly smaller and follow a different pattern

bump?

Are you asking if one of the coins you're posting is a Proof coin?  Not sure which one you are asking about but I assume someone could have removed it from a Proof set and spent it.

yeah, made this too complicated, my apologies..

its about the potential circulated FDC (J) - 7.5g - it has clear use scratches

have a BC (A), larger and more detailed - 7.55g, and another (J) in very good condition - 7.48g

others are 'proof' coins

from my research, the FDCs come with an inverted E engraved

and were made around 700k out of the total 40/50 million eagles made

can't find any info on this, perhaps someone's wife threw his husband's acrylic out the window(just a joke)

wondering if anyone has ever come across something like this.

(up to 2006) more were made obv
