i have coin 1 eurocent - Germany 2005 J, but looks like nordic gold, not copper plated steel.

What is that ?

Somebody plated it with brass (maybe gold).

It is a common school experiment. I have a couple of coins clad in brass and one in something silvery, found in the wild.

If it is dull it's brass plating, if shiny it's gilded.
