Obscured lettering [solved]

3 posts • viewed 33 times

I was wondering what you should write for the lettering when a letter is covered by an object. For example, ”E” in ”EBAY” is covered  making only “BAY” visible. You can barely see the bottom portion of  the “E”. The word “EBAY” is heavily implied based on the theme of the token.

Put a bracket round missing letters.

It has been done for coins or medals where there has been some damage or wear,

and in the Lettering section it can be implied what was originally there.

So this would be (E)BAY 2024 there.
