Help Identifying French (?)coin /token [solved]

6 posts • viewed 91 times

Hello , I have found this coin / token and I need some help identifying what it is and  It's origin .

On one side there is a crowned portrait , but almost all of the legend at the side is gone and on the other there is writing which appears to spell out

LA

DE

 FRANCE

 E

Followed by the French triple Fleur de Lis, which is why I believe it is French in origin

The coin /token is about 22 mm in diameter

Any help will be greatly appreciated

 Of those could be this

N#3317

with DE above crowned portrait and ET DE NA on right.

L XIIII ROY DE FR ET DE NA [date]

and Mint letter E on reverse is

E - Meung-sur-Loire, France (1655-1658)

Still not quite the same - yours has a slightly smaller portrait for example.

The portrait - something like this [in better condition]

Thank you for the identification . It's interesting that I found a variety not yet in our  catalog .

I hope one day someone who has this variety in better condition adds it to the catalog .
