Interesting... Tell me more!
Basically had a great day.  all of the coins are au or higher.  The 1866 looks to be a proof.  So So cool I love German history and coins.

That was sarcasm for when there was nothing on the topic. Now that there are actually words I'm very jealous. You wouldn't happen to want to trade that 1876 20 Mark for an 1876 2 Pfennig, would you? If so, I'm your man!
Sorry but absolutely no way.  The coins are absolutely beautiful.

Too bad. Maybe I could give you a modern Japanese Yen in exchange for it?
By the way, the best coin I got as a birthday present was probably my 1921 Peace Dollar which I bought with birthday money.
It is my eighteenth birthday and I was truly at a loss for words.

How about this?

My Granddad gave it to me, said he had got it for his 50th.

Can you put pics of yours up, I'd be really interested?

(edit: It's a full sovereign, I didn't make it clear)

Thats beautiful, my Grandpa gave me his Prussian Defeat of Napoleon.  A little worn but still when you get it as a gift it takes a special place in your heart.

Very nice happy belated birthday!
I'm 23 this year so all good presents from the parents should be out of the window lol !

I can't think for birthdays what I've had but I know I've had some really good coins for Xmas from my other half and parents (a lot of the regulars will know lol).
Wow - I thought I got nice stuff but compared to that not so much. z|
