I suspect you're right.
The closest Serapis coins I could find so far, in both design and size, are these two on eBay:
…but neither looks quite like a match. I've taken some slightly clearer photos of my coin if anyone thinks they can decipher it. I suppose it could be either Latin or Greek text:
