Why is the former Srivijaya masa under British East Indies?

Hello, and I hope you are all well!

I was curious as to why this coin (N#337267), which was formerly under the issuer “Srivijaya” is now found under “British East Indies ———> Sumatra”?

The British weren’t in Indonesia until many hundreds of years after this coin was made. I acknowledge putting it under Srivijaya isn’t the most accurate issuer for this type, but this new classification feels vastly more incorrect in my opinion.

I appreciate any clarification on why this decision was made!

Buenas tardes yo solicite el movimiento de esta moneda a "Sumatra" pero la solicite bajo el dominio de “Estados de indonesia”

I agree, it should be moved to “Indonesia › Indonesian States › Srivijaya”.

As I said in the original post months ago, the coin was originally in the correct location and then moved to its new incorrect one, meaning the referee for this section approved the change. I made this post to ask about this coin in particular, and why it needed to be moved to what I believe is an incorrect location.

Theres no need to explain how refs work on Numista to me, I am one. This post is specifically about information regarding this particular coin.
