When I modified the first coin, the source says the name of the series was “Disney’s Chinese Zodiac Animals”, but the sources for the rest of coins, and the box of all coins, mention the name “Disney Lunar”, so I assume this last is the real name.
I request change the name, and set the local name and description:
- Name (EN): Disney Lunar
- Name (local): Disney Lunar
- Name (other languages): (delete to translate again)
- Description (EN): (see below, it has a link to mint in Numista)
----------------------------
Series dedicated to the Chinese zodiac. The Chinese zodiac is a traditional classification scheme based on the Chinese calendar that assigns an animal and its reputed attributes to each year in a repeating twelve-year cycle. Chinese folkway held that one's personality is related to the attributes of their zodiac animal. The twelve zodiac signs are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.
The series consists of silver and gold coins, some coloured, issued by the New Zealand Mint from 2018. The obverses depict the effigy of the ruling authority, and the reverses depict the zodiac animal for that year and Disney characters. Each coin is encapsulated and presented in a box.
